Specs: HP Pavilion Elite HPE-310t -Quad Core i5-750 2.66GHz, 6GB RAM, 750GB Hard Drive USB mouse and keyboard. It even happens in "safe mode" or if you select the option to "repair the computer" via F8. Win7 is booting fine, but as it is loading, shortly before the login screen appears, the keyboard & mouse - probably all peripheral devices connected via USB - are turned off SATA cables are usually pretty cheap (<$5). I Purchased a USB A Female to PS2 (MDIN6) Male Adapter (for Mouse) from SFCable.com This my friends, was a lifesaver. Running windows home premium 64 bit. I found a setting called "toggle keys", once I un-checked that box the USB keyboard become more responsive. If you got any recommendations, hints or whatsoever to solve my problem, I'd highly appreciate this!
I tried checking all the boxes, and only High Contrast, Filter Keys and Sticky Keys turn on. You would remove your original drive and install the new one, then restore your system to the new drive. I haven't done anything unusual or different in the last 3 days, so I have no idea what has prompted this issue. Is that on?
Or are you rebooting quickly? Have you tried booting a virus checking utility? So, a little after I got back into my system, and I closed down all programs, the warning screen came up that ALL of my USB Ports failed and could not All programs now function.
