It looks like it is downloading an empty guide from zap2it. One time, EPG works, the next time, you are modifying host files, running random media center commands, and all other random ideas that sound more like superstitions than actual solutions. I even tried a provider that isn't mine to see if EPG comes in from Rovi, but they are all Zap2It. part of me is curious if the google fiber or at&t selection will be vastly different. My guess is that when the conversion from zap2it to Rovi was performed they did not take the video card type (pc's only) into consideration.
It hasn't happened automatically. - It doesn't make sense for Microsoft to use multiple providers to get essentially the same data, so starting today Microsoft is converging their guide data.
- So this looks like an issue that Microsoft will have to correct with an update to Media Center.Maybe updating to Windows 10 will fix the issue, but I am not ready

This is why after 7 years of the guide working there has been a change in behavior.
When I go to the About Guide page in MC, it still says "Powered by Zap2it". That means you've got at least another five years before you need to try to find a replacement for your guide data, or perhaps Windows Media Center entirely. I just copied the listings from my "local" Fox ABC via Tasks | Settings | TV | Guide | Edit Channels, click on channel, Edit Listing, find local affiliate with guide It's not affecting all channels, right now I'm noticing it on 104 and 105 local HD channels, but Comedy Central West HD 704 series are working normally.
