Unplug it and leave it unplugged overnight so that it can go properly cold (well, room temperature). - I've had problems with sound/video with the cables, but it's the tvs' sockets that aren't very stable so I just have to move/fiddle the cables before the video/audio is back.
- I tried to sync the remote I've tried turning it off pulling the cords out and waiting and it still isn't working.
- Regardless, this simple solution worked for me.

The sound for the TV works, but when I turn on the Wii, it doesn't work. If the sound doesn't work, it's definitely the TV and it's not the Wii having issues. If you have the Wii connected to the receiver via composite video, then you also need to run a composite video cable from the receiver to another input of the TV.
