Potential solutions: Press and hold the Volume down and the Power button simultaneously for 10 seconds. After call the screen remained unresponsive. My nephew and I had our phones since launch and we both got this bug after the latest updates. - Above, folks stated that if you let the battery run all the way out, then plug and turn on without any keyboard/attachments, the touch screen just might magically work again!!

I don't think so. So if you have a dirty screen, make sure to clean it . Reset your Surface Resetting your Surface reinstalls Windows but removes your personal files and settings as well as apps that did not come pre-installed. cus it seems like im the onli one not getting. This is how all of my machines are always configured. I think Microsoft are terrorist, they are holding our tablets ransom until we pay to upgrade them. Now put the SD card back into your phone and wait for it to update.
You can always Google the instructions for your computer or tablet by manufacturers name and model number, if you don't have a manual for the computer/tablet. You are. However, I believe that this also disables updates through the Windows store, so if you use this feature a lot then you may not like this solution, but you can always That still did not work.
Updated on 4-3-2014 by Simon Hill: Updated to add black screen during calls, camera not working glitch, and duplicate song problem. If the glass on your Surface touchscreen is cracked or broken, touch may not work. So I doubt it is hardware related. That was a Nokia.
