I have tried installing the Realtek drivers that i used with Vista x64. The good news are, you've now verified that the problem is not with your microphone settings. If you have performed all the steps and the microphone or source device still does not work, the audio ports or sound hardware on the computer might be bad. I am still using a Vista compatible driver because the new driver from the manufacture for Window7 would not work correctly.
