I am very used to the mouse snapping to the default button as there are many in my line of work. It still doesn't work, except for usually in print routines where it snaps to the Print button. The snap to default button works fine in my other programs, repeatedly works fine. When on windows xp i was able to re-assign any mouse button to one of many functions, e.g cut, copy, paste, etc, etc.
If I was moving the window and it snapped..ok fine. either programmatically or manually ? The Snap To Default works great on my laptop which is running Windows 7 Pro also. What a shame they don't put a fraction of that effort into reducing the bloat, and eliminating the need to reboot after every update!
I have tried turning it off, then back on again. I set the mouse properties to move mouse to default button, but it does not work. I have restarted my computer and turned this setting on and off several times and it still does not work. August 31, 2010 LadyKenobi You are fantastic.

In 2010, its not really the case. To Turn Snap To Off NOTE: This is the default setting.A) Uncheck the Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box button, and click/tap on OK. I noticed that if you move the mouse when it is suppose to snap, that it will not snap. It HAS! This "feature" is destined to piss off people who know computers and completely confuse those that don't. Of course if it was either a BAD reason, or an oversight, you might wish to reinstate the feature.
