It was a clean install and not an upgrade from a Windows installation with WMC already installed. Reply Cameron Fuller July 25, 2015 It may be worth trying one of the zip codes for another area to see if that will work at least for some of I downloaded it, paid for a licence key and ran it. The combination of these issues leads me to think that something was changed and/or corrupted by a recent Windows update.

The channel is listed and is received, but shows "no data" in the guide. SO I even rolled back and built WMC ISOs from Windows 10 builds, installed in VM, used my Ceton Networkable tuner and tried it over an over. As I indicated in that article, there were known issues and some community folks provided some workarounds that worked in certain cases. Simply Say "Xbox off" and your TV, Stereo and Xbox all shut off at once…got to love that!
His suggestion is to just keep at it and it will eventually "pop". There was a installer updated (revised version) that had some codec fixes on it. Thanks for your understanding and support. I discovered the correct zip code for Knoxville, TN by searching multiple on-line TV guides and the 37909 zip code appeared to be the correct, or best working zip code.

Instant Online Activation on Purchase - no reinstall.. Audio works for video playback and my audio drivers are up to date, so I'm not sure what that is about. So looks like I will be using this guide for now. The system is W7 64Bit Home Premium SP1.
Changing the zip from 80301 to 80308 (for Boulder CO) caused the guide to change from Zap2it to Rovi and that brought my listings back. Including deleting all program data. 2) Checking the Indexing options to ensure that Windows Media Center is included in the list of Indexed locations. This blog post will provide the steps that I used for this workaround and suggestions for this issue going forward. If your system is still resolving to the older guide system (Zap2It) this process will continue to fail regardless of what zip codes you enter. Or is this just because it searches the guide listings USING the internet and not the ones downloaded on my computer? It looks like the root of the problem may have been my use of a Registry Cleaner program as part of routine system maintenance.
Installing the Windows 10 Preview disabled Media Center, and Microsoft has confirmed that it will not be available in Windows 10 :-(. In the US, our guide data is pulled from Microsoft, that gets it from Zap2it but, now is ROVI.... I'll post an update here once I've reached a conclusion. I don't mind going to Xbox but I'd like to see MS reassure their community that they're not being left out in the cold.
On top of that you may still be stuck if it's unable to find your zip code which lots of other people are reporting. In the end, they said it would take their "advanced tools" to fix my problem which would cost me $99.
