Windows Media Player Seek Slider Not Working
Only in version 11 they do not work anymore. Best earbuds? External codecs sometimes don't support seeking.Seeing a WMA file with such a codec is not very normal though. So I was trying to make it work with MPC-HC (which I prefer to VLC) but I'll probably end up using VLC. http://thumbd.net/windows-media/windows-media-player-slider-not-working.html
But i found out that if i take the files that do not work from the libary it dont work, but if i take then directly from the harddisk and drag&drop David. , Sep 2, 2006 #4 Neil Smith [MVP Digital Media] Guest Re: Windows Media Player 11 / seek bar does not work with MPEG fil But what you're proposing Why do solar planes have many small propellers instead of fewer large ones? 80s Sci-Fi movie with "fire-lion / fire-wolf" chasing people through locked steel doors Which security measures make sense You'll probably get the best results (file size, quality, compatibility) by transcoding to H.264/AAC (mp4), although the encoding process is heavier/longer than alternatives such as MPEG2.

All that said, your first choice should be to install ffdshow on the end-user machine. Answer Questions Full playlist won't sync to iPhone in iTunes. Or is it? this content How do I get the last lines of dust into the dustpan? And if your copy of Windows came pre-installed on a new PC, then you can't report a bug even to the product support team for any amount of money at all. but after that the sound starts to break up and then play stops.
It works fine in VLC Player. The straight forward solution other than using a decent player is to use a better codec pack - ffdshow, it feeds WMP through the operating system level. I noticed that as soon as I burn these video files to a CD using Roxio, the seek bar will not advance when playing. They would shoot themselves in the foot with this as it would certainly be a reason for me to change to a different media player... It will make the file MUCH bigger, though. 1 #7 01010011 Posted 15 January 2011 - 09:15 AM 01010011 Member Topic Starter Member 63 posts Thanks devper94! 0 Back to Applications check over here And the funny thing is that some let say > > avi files with a Xvid codec work fine with the seek and some did not...
