I right-click the scanner in My Computer, choose Properties. Well written, and easy to follow. I also did a System Restore twice, to no avail. Somewhere on a Microsoft site I read that we shouldn't install the camera's drivers.

All I did was write a how to post about the automatic camera and scanner wizard…then you said you didn't like it and I gave a simple opinion. I've spent hours on this and even called Sony with no luck.
Brilliant. However I have finally managed to get the problem PC to open the Nikon download utility when I plug the (Nikon) camera in. You might also prefer to use and other program that you have installed on your computer. Super Smash Bros.

My scanner works fine with it's software but I like the wizard better. The problem is same.
